I filled the I-751 on July 2018, 27 months ago. The status has been "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" since January 2020, 9 months ago. It is an absolute embarrassment that it takes 27 months to process this and 9 months to schedule an interview. I'm ready to call the quits, f* this s*, and go back to Australia.

Anyone else's case approaching 30 friking months?

Been stuck in "Case is Ready to scheduled for an interview" since May 2019........you still maintain status until the case is complete.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

It really is an embarrassment. 30 months is just flat out unacceptable, especially considering the fact that so many from 2020 are being approved. Terribly sorry for your troubles here. My wife's friend just got her permanent residence in Australia and it didn't take nearly as long as the American system (I know America processes a lot of applications, something that could be remedied by proper staffing). My wife applied for ROC in May 2019 and not even a notice for an interview.

Depends on local offices workload.  Cases are not equally spread across the US.

Which is an embarrassment of management. The USCIS is pathetic and we all know it.

Some areas have more applicants than others....some offices have more employees......they don't balance the workload across all local offices like they do USCIS service centers.  Otherwise, I-751 applicants living in New York might be required to interview in California, for example.

I'm aware of the differences in locations which is to my point: they don't staff accordingly. If NYC and surrounding area isn't at the same ratio relative to population as other centers, especially given the fact that more immigrants live in NYC (and other large cities), then something is quite wrong. This should have been remedied years ago. There is no reason why people should pay the same fees and receive vastly different services because they cannot manage their logistics. As a citizen, I'm embarrassed and disgusted and sorry that people have to put up with negligence. Immigrants and their families deserve better.

Unfortunately for you and me, there are thousands in the queue ahead of us.  Our only option is to wait in line.

Agreed, it is very unfortunate. It's also insulting to see people from the first half of 2020 getting their i751s approved while people such as the OP have waited so long. No offense, but I'm really not liking the fact that the community has this "all we can do is wait" attitude. At this point in time, it is completely true, but I'd like to see, in the future, more pressure to make an immigration system that is equitable and timely. Nice speaking with you Lucky Cat, hope you have a great day.

Can you fill in your timeline? Which service center were you originally at? Are you filing jointly or with a divorce waiver? Which visa did you come to the US with? Did you move?

I'm only asking so that other people in similar situations can use your information. I know that California seems to be super slow.
