Any advice on chasing up USCIS after the 90 day window?

Hi All,

Tomorrow I've reached the 90 days since my NOA and I was told by a USCIS rep that I can now call up and ask them to submit a service request to the field office handling my case to chase up why I haven't received the biometrics appointment for my EAD/AP

Question: Has anyone else done this? Was it successful? How much longer did it take once chasing?

Any tips or information on best getting this escalated with USCIS would be much appreciated

Thanks!

The field office has nothing to do with EAD/AP as the National Benefits Center handles those applications.

Application Support Centers only reopened in mid to late July with a 5 month backlog.   Go ahead and open a service request but understand that covid has had a significant affect on your application

YMMV

Thanks! Just hope that they are making some progress on that backlog. The company that my previous visa was with closed due to covid 1 month after I applied for a marriage based adjustment of status. So i've now been stuck with no job since August, even though a new company has since taken over my old company and they want to hire me (but obviously can't because I don't have a valid work visa) . So frustrating, really need that EAD... fingers crossed I guess

Seeking an expedite is just part of the process currently.

I've read that you can only successfully do that after you have had your biometrics taken? Is that not the case? Can I apply for an expedite now?

I thought I had seen people get them without Bio's being done? Anyway could push up that process.

Get that job offer in writing, then submit it with your request for expedite.

Update: Spoke to a USCIS representative today and they summitted a service request to the office handling my case to chase up why I haven't received my Biometrics appointment within 90 days of the office reopening. They said that it can take up to 30 days to receive a response, but hopefully that it will be sooner.

Regarding expedite requests the USCIS representative confirmed that I can only submit one once I have completed my biometrics.

The wait continues.
