It won't have any affect on the approvability of the petition

really?

my name on the receipt came as in MARIA NO MIDDLE NAME GOMEZ

it wont be a problem?

on every space where it asked for my middle name on the i130 form she put ˜no middle name" instead of "not applicable" which i think its what it says on the instructions

Call USCIS to request a correction to your name on file.  Or just make sure you enter your name correctly on the DS-260 form when your case reaches NVC.

Just correct the error at the DS-260 stage as others have said.  A similar thing happened with my husband, when I filled out the I-130 and I-130A I put a middle name, exactly like our marriage certificate names.  Then when he got a passport, later, he had no middle name, both middle and last names were on his passport as his last name, so that's what we used from the DS-260 and on for all documents, and he was approved with no delays.  The name on your passport, DS-260, and eventually, visa and green card/SS card, are what matter.  So don't worry, and good luck!

This is a non-issue.  It's USCIS mistake.  Just enter the name correctly going forward.

N/A means not applicable.  Middle name is an applicable question, with an answer of NONE.  The problem is that "None" is actually a name in some languages.  That's why it is appropriate to enter No Middle Name or -----, if possible on immigration forms.

Man, next time your response for things that don't apply to you are N/A or None.

I'm sorry but this post made me laugh.

Except this question is applicable.  Although "None" is the correct answer, it is even more likely that None will be shown as the middle name on the file.  In this case, it's a non-issue.

Are you suggesting OP was correct in writing “No middle name” then? It clearly was an issue for this poster.

Instructions state if something doesn’t apply to you write”N/A” or “None”. I’m not sure which we did for my husband but it was definitely one of those and his middle name came omitted as it should have.

This poster THINKS it's an issue on a personal level.  It is NOT an issue for the actual case.  Yes, the poster was correct to enter "No Middle Name".  USCIS data entry made the mistake which is of no actual consequence.

Read those instructions again.  You write N/A when not applicable.  You write NONE, when applicable but the answer is NONE.  The two are not interchangeable.  Even with those instructions, many forms do not allow entry of N/A and one must type Not Applicable.

Example, when asked to enter the names of beneficiary's children, the question is applicable, but the answer is NONE. That said, there's no actual consequence for the technically incorrect choice of answer.

Example 2.  When filing a petition seeking a visa, the question about where the person will adjust status is clearly Not Applicable, but you cannot type N/A in the space.

A USCIS data entry person or software (not sure which) made an error of no actual consequence.  Carry on.

If one does not have a middle name, listing a middle name is not applicable to that person. None also works because they don’t have one. No where in the instructions does it state to write “No middle name” if you don’t have one therefore I would say this is up to interpretation.
