IR2 approval with IR1 still far behind

Hi all :)

my husband applied for my daughter and I in August. Our application was received by Nebraska and my daughter was approved in 5 days- her petition is now at Nvc. My application was transferred to potomac. Assuming mine will take another 10 months or so, is it ok just to leave my daughters application unpaid at NVC while mine catches up? I dont want her to get her visa while my i130 isnt even approved because she cant travel alone. Thanks

you might want to call them they said they transfered one of my daughters and they all were still right at potomac. as for the nvc my husband was approved in july i paid all of his and did the paperwork but didn't submit until my two daughters caught up. they were approved in September then i paid theirs and did their paperwork. if i am correct i think you have up to a year to submit then you would have to start over

Yes.  And email them so they can coordinate the 2 cases.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

we don't have to send emails when the cases come in they will already be connected. when you log in and pay in my case my husband 2 fees. once the girls was sent and i logged in it already had paid on both for the AOS but i had to pay 3 IV fees. It will be connected and when they send the approve notice all 2 in your case will be together. Thank you @luckycat for the back up.

What @Justus Forever said, with the exception of the one year comment.  You can have the petition waiting over a year, but you need to contact the NVC within a year to let them know you are still interested in proceeding with the case, and the reason why you are waiting.
