Hello,

So my fiancee and I are working on getting all the appropriate documents in order to submit our application hopefully in early December. We wanted to get the application submitted earlier but have not been able to see each other since March of 2020 due to COVID-19. So i know per the requirements i have to submit 2 Passport pictures the question is since i will also be adding her son as a K2 to the application do i have to submit passport photos for him as well.

Also any other tips would be greatly appreciated i just want to make sure i have more documentation than actually needed.

11/21/20: I-129F packet shipped via USPS

11/25/20: I-129F delivered to Dallas Lockbox (Lewisville)

11/27/20: Backdated I-129F "received date"

2/23/21: I-129F fee charged to bank account

2/25/21: Text alert NOA1 Receipt/Case Number

3/3/21 :  Received NOA1 Letter in the mail

OP, I recommend printing out the USCIS instructions/optional check-list that accompany the form.  Also: read, research, read some more.   It is critical to do things correctly.  The check-list and your efforts to educate yourself on the process will help clear up some of your misunderstandings.

Use the guides from the blue ribbon. Go to the blue ribbon above, select "guides" then "immigration guides" scroll down and select the K-1.  Select "guides if you are engaged": and select ----- K1 Fiancé Visa Guide.  Here you will find everything needed to complete the K-1 process. As @Jorgedig opined use the USCIS K-1 instruction sheet which contains a check list to use. Find it here https://www.uscis.gov/i-129f and scroll down to "Checklist for Required Evidence". Good luck and stay engaged.

Hello,

One other question

i have the signed letter of intent from my fiance but it was signed in March does the signature date matter or should i get a more recent letter. I had been gathering documents for the application and we had plan to see each other atleast 2 more times before applying but then COVID-19 happened 🥴

Yes, have your fiancé send you via email a signed letter of intent. You prepare on from your end. Submit both. Date should be current date.
