:dance: Well first of all congratulations on the final resolution of such confusing situation...you both must be so relieved...I just really hope that they will speed through the rest of the process as I think that someone messed up big time...really...Good luck with what is left of this painfully slow journey...keep us posted as the suspense develops... :luv::luv:

I told my husband this story and he related this wonderous little tidbit of Egyptian bueracracy to me:

When you receive a pension, every year you need to have two government officials certify that you are in fact alive.

And, when your spouse dies, you need to have two government officials certify that you are still single each year.

Any Egypt people here ever have to deal with Mogama? Round and round you go, where you end up, no body knows.

And I thought the USCIS was weird

10/14/05 - married AbuS in the US lovehusband.gif

02/23/08 - Filed for removal of conditions.

Sometime in 2008 - Received 10 year GC. Almost done with USCIS for life inshaAllah! Huzzah!

12/07/08 - Adopted the fuzzy feline love of my life, my Squeaky baby th_catcrazy.gif

02/23/09 - Apply for citizenship

06/15/09 - Citizenship interview

07/15/09 - Citizenship ceremony. Alhamdulilah, the US now has another american muslim!

Yes, been to Mogama . . . not sure how anyone ever figures out where to go as you keep getting sent from window to window. Yikes!!

Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Ivory Coast
Timeline

Well, i can honestly say that i beat everybody coz i met my fiance in high school in 96. We were friends and started dating in college in 98. I came to the US in 99. Didn't see him until 2004. Yep 5 years of intensive letters, emails, text messages, phone calls, webcam etc...I finally went home in 2004 and guess how long i could stay? two weeks....Came back and haven't seen him since. Now the Ivory Coast consulate is holding on to his passport until God knows when before they can issue the visa  . I just pray to God he comes before my b-day, May 3rd. Like Mary J Blige says I'll be waiting up until he gets home. :crying:

When I first read the problem you were having, it just seemed too easy to fix. I guess even proving your alive is hard to do for immigration purposes. I'm happy you are back on track now!!
