Confused if NOA1 or Just a receipt..online filing

If you filed the I-130 online, you can just download the NOA1 receipt notice from your USCIS account.  The downloadable PDF letter is just as official as the paper copy you may or may not get in the mail.

I can't check to see the update of my case my account is loading..how did you check yours?

When you log in to uscis account, there should be a date on top of where it said upload documents

I filed paper but when uscis received my application they converted into online. And sent me instructions to setup the uscis account with a code.

I wonder where I can find the code I didn't receive like that, only IOE receipt number.how long they sent you the code since you filed?

If you filed online, you will not receive an access code to activate your account.  The poster who got an account access code filed by mail --

I received a TEXT from USCIS with my NOA1 and the online account info. It's really weird bcuz a text🤷🏽‍♀️?

That's just the notification with your receipt number.  NOA1 is the actual letter from USCIS.

 

If you filed by mail and submitted form G-1145, then you are supposed to receive a notification via text message.
