Hi so my dad is filing for an application for n565 or the replacement of certificate of naturalization. He got married after naturalizing so his status on the certificate was still single. When applying for a new one do we put single or married on it? Is the processing gonna take longer because of it?

Marriage status on the cert doesn't really matter, so replace it is waste of $$$.

Did he apply passport for the first time, or he renew it? If he's renew then he just need the old passport. The status on the application will be married .
