How long for an oath ceremony after interview?

Depends on the state for deadline to register for voting.  In Mass, it's Oct 24th......In Texas, the deadline was yesterday.....

Senior Master Sergeant, US Air Force- Retired (after 20+ years)- Missile Systems Maintenance & Titan 2 ICBM Launch Crew Duty (200+ Alert tours)

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

IT Professional- Retired- Web Site Design, Hardware Maintenance, Compound Pharmacy Software Trainer, On-site go live support, Database Manager, App Designer.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

It would greatly help if you updated your timeline and profile on VJ. Some ceremony are the day of the interview.

In my case the Oath ceremony was about 15 minutes after the interview ended. That was in Raleigh/Durham, NC. Due to covid they did everything in one visit - after interview I was directed to a room next door, waited a few minutes and then around 8 or 9 of us took the oath together. Was a bummer not having my wife etc there, but at least it got done and I only had to make one trip to Raleigh.

I managed to register to vote pretty quickly in NC. Check what last registration dates are in your state, whether you can do same day registration, voting etc. Also remember you might need your citizenship certificate as your passport could take a while (mine took around 6 weeks). I'd sent my certificate off with the passport application so only had a copy, but was able to register after some issues (they wanted to check my citizenship status via my drivers license as the DMV in NC record this, but I hadn't updated my status with the DMV due to the closure of offices due to covid - eventually I convinced them to use my citizenship cert as proof).
