I emailed the embassy because I knew something was up. Here is the response:

Hello,

Your case is already in Kyiv, but our nnotifications have been delayed, so you may proceed with scheduling your appointment without waiting for an email with instructions.  Please read all the instructions here:https://ua.usembassy.gov/uk/visas-uk/immigrant-visas-uk/fiancee-visa-uk/how-to-apply-uk/

And schedule your appointment here:https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ua/ua-niv-visaapply.asp

Start finishing up/Gathering your documents and get scheduled. Don't wait for contact. I've barely been contacted by anyone along the way. Get on it!

I hope this helps.

Same thing here.. Login to ustraveldocs and if you have your Ready status, pay your DS160 fee, resend email to KyivIV@ if needed to request extension and include new 'intent to marry' letters from each of you and keep checking daily (if not more) back on ustraveldocs login for ability to schedule interview.

I was confused as well, but at some point they'll update your account and the calendar with available dates will show up and you pick one and get an appointment confirmation email to print and bring with you.

You will NOT get contacted by the embassy and we were worried about this too and certainly didnt want to get a notification to cancel our appointment and wait until contacted first.  Like others said, dont wait for them and do your steps.  All that is required to bring to the embassy is this printed confirmation, possibly your DS160 confirmation and proof and financial docs.

I often wonder how some people manage to get through this very long and complicated journey that is immigration. It truly baffles me.

Learning to trust the process and not be on the phone, emailing, texting or such will not move your file any faster.

We decided early on in our immigration journey that the only petition that we needed to be concerned about was our own. We were happy for other folks having good fortune on their immigration journey. We are all stuck on the same leaky boat, the USS USCIS, some of the folks have longer sojourns than others, some have shorter, that is the way it goes. We never had the time, energy, or inclination to worry about what other people were doing, we have our own life to live. Each step of the way we weren't on the phone, texting or emailing. We sat and waited till it was our turn, and our turn did come. C'est la vie !

Good luck on your immigration journey.

I have to respectfully disagree with this. If I didn't call and email, I would still be waiting for a response that the embassy said was delayed, and who knows for how long. I still haven't gotten anything. I wouldn't have known any better and would already have wasted almost another 3 weeks. Instead we're cranking along and our file will be going through at least 3 weeks faster than it would have if I waited.

I'm sure the process is the same, but I think we might need to be a little more hands on the get the information that we need to move forward right now. Whether it's calling somewhere or someone, or asking someone here(running the risk of someone here making you seem like a dope for not knowing every detail about your specific process).

We still don't know how much time we have left to finish everything and I'm not going to sit around waiting to trust the process and see what happens when I can make a call or send an email and possibly get an answer.

General Thought #1:

One's ability to read accurately, interpret literally, and answer completely & honestly vastly improves one's success during this infernal immigration process.

General Thought #2:  We rarely get, or rarely get in timely fashion, what we don't ask for.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

CAN WE SCHEDULE AN INTERVIEW WITHOUT HEARING FROM THE EMBASSY???

Our case has been "Ready" for interview for over a month and we haven't heard anything from the Kyiv embassy.

Others who filed in Kyiv AFTER us have scheduled interviews already!

Someone please advise on if we need to wait to be contacted?

THANK YOU!!!

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

I feel your pain.  Wondering if you've had any success.

We were scheduled by the Consulate in July but had to cancel because we couldn't return to UA due to the lock downs.  Now I have to reschedule but can't get into the scheduling page.

Been getting a page loading error for 2+ months and before that "No appointments are available..."
