In my mind, semantically, when you marry someone with a child that child does not become your child. In our case, I have a child and my wife, the immigrant, is meant to answer questions and provide evidence on the Family Status portion of the I-944. Should she select "child" for what is actually her stepchild?

Child includes ALL children both step and biological

Yes you should have that as part of the I-485

My wife came to the US on an F1 visa about 10 years ago.

04/07/2008 Biometrics Appointment in Cincinnati
