Interview Scheduling - Is there a time limit ?

Hi,

 

We are having trouble finding interview dates for our embassy appointment (spouse visa) which makes me wonder if there is any kind of time limit in respect of scheduling the appointment - anyone know ?

Their website says no, but they try to schedule within three months. Covid19 is messing with things hard in some places though.

I thought NVC schedules spouse visas initially

They do unless the case is expedited.  The OP is wasting their time trying to schedule a spouse visa interview appointment.  NVC will do that when an appointment becomes available.  Big backlogs now.

So we are on an expedite, and it seems counter-productive to approve an expedite request and then put immigrants in the situation of finding an interview date when as you state, none are available.

 

Do we have any options ?

Which Embassy?  
I just got Expedited and was told the Embassy will schedule appointment for me.

Did you get some email from London embassy after email from NVC that expedite was approved?

Ok. I can’t speak for that Embassy. But what happened to me is that I got an email from NVC saying that the Embassy approved my Expedite request. Then the embassy emailed me first set of instructions.

Yes, same here, except those instructions directed me to an appointments website which never has any appointments.  If I could just go back into letting them schedule an appointment for me this would be so much easier.

Can I ask how long after expedite approval email you’ve heard from embassy?

 

im not sure either they will schedule it for us or will direct us to scheduling page, but when apparently they’re suppose: to give you all details.

I think my timeline was - expedite approval slightly under 3 weeks from application, embassy email 2 weeks after that.

There is couple slots opened right now! 3rd and 4th November. Have you managed to get other booked?

As of right now nothing is booked, I don’t see those dates as open but I’m sure they went fast - I’m even starting to wonder if I’m looking at the right website !!
