Rejection Notice

I just got 2 Rejection notices for my I485 and I765 for the payment amount.

for I485 I had a check for $1225 ( what go be other wise ) it blows my mind ??  any idea why they rejected it ?? 

For I765 I had a check for 495 ( What is the right amount ) ??

$1225 for everything.   I765 is fee waived when filing with the i485

Wow great news, but why would they send me rejection letters on both ?? and why they wouldn't take the $1225 Check and send me the other one ??

Because you have to do it right. The people who work at the lockbox go by a checklist. If something is different from that it will get rejected. They're not there to figure out what could potentially be meant otherwise waiting times would probably be way longer since you're not the first and probably not the last who did something like that.

What category did you fill-in when asked on Form I-765?

That's what I find confusing, I put C9 but i'm not sure its the right one!

what's the right category for student with I94 adjusting statues ???

That is correct. "(c)(9)( )"

 

Also, select "Initial permission." And USCIS has new edition of I-765: https://www.uscis.gov/i-765 "Edition Date 08/25/20. Starting August 25, 2020, we will only accept the 08/25/20 edition. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions."
