Anyone seen any progress at the Newark field office for Biometrics for AOS/EAD?

Hi everyone, 

 

Wondering if anyone has heard anything from the Newark field office? We haven't heard anything since our NOA on 14th July.  

 

Adjustment of Status Event Date CIS Office : Newark NJ Date Filed : 2020-06-26 NOA Date : 2020-07-14

 

Pretty frustrating having to wait so long for the biometrics exam to be scheduled, especially as I have a company that wants me to work for them, but I'm stuck twiddling my thumbs until I can get my EAD.... sigh.

Update: I spoke to a USCIS customer representative and they said to speak to them 90 days from reopening (which is oct 12th) and they will submit a request to teh field office to see why a biometrics appointment hasn't been scheduled yet. Also they told me my case is at Elizabeth NJ rather than Newark which was news to me

 

Has anyone had any luck with any of the New Jersey Field offices or are they all backed up?

Interesting I am also in Jersey city and filed my AOS  on July 10th and waiting for my Biometrics letter

Yeah it looks like Jersey City area is really backed up. Hopefully we hear something positive soon!

Did you get your biometrics interview? mine is 08/27/2020 still waiting

Did you have your biometrics already by any chance? We filed for AOS in September but still waiting for any news.

Hi, I live in Jersey City.  Does anyone have an idea of how long it takes between the day I file application (in my case N-400) and the biometrics appointment?

So, how long it took for interview and how was the experience?
