AOS filers who have submitted I-944, did any of you receive RFEs?

Since the public charge rules went into effect, most categories of AOS filers have had to submit the I-944. Although there was an injunction that lasted a little while, submitting the I-944 has been made mandatory again. I am curious to hear from people who have submitted the I-944 with their AOS package. Considering that the I-944 requires a wide variety of supporting documents or evidence, it seems that all of this evidence is ripe for issuing RFEs. So I wanted to ask if anyone has received RFEs related to the evidence you submitted along with your I-944.

For reference, I'm adjusting status from F-1, being sponsored by my USC spouse. I submitted my application end of August, but had to resubmit again at end of September after an initial rejection (due to fee payment issue). I added the I-944 with my resubmitted package. I added the following documentation as evidence:

- Academic credentials: Currently enrolled PhD (enrollment letter, coursework transcript, current I-20), US masters degree transcript, foreign BS degree evaluation (from WES), copy of foreign high school diploma

- Financial: Credit report, credit score, Bank account statements for last 12 months, IRS tax transcripts (3 years)

- Medical: Health insurance coverage letter, insurance plan policy summary

- English proficiency: Copy of TOEFL and GRE score reports

Hi! Currently working on my I-944 too. Stuck with it due to lots of confusions with the required certifications on Occupational Skills and Educational Skills. I just want to clarify what does the "TOEFL" for your English Skills stand for? Did you take a special class/program and got some kind of certification? I didn't take any special classes but English language is widely taught and part of our curriculum from grade school to college back in my foreign country. The only thing I can provide, if acceptable, is my transcript of records (list of subjects and grades). I wonder of that will help to prove my English Skills. 🙂

TOEFL refers to Test of English as a Foreign Language. I had to take this exam and submit English proficiency scores for my grad school applications. I find all this entirely ridiculous because when I arrived to the US with an F-1 visa, the university which issued my I-20 obviously checked my educational credentials when they offered me admission. I guess it's fine to add whatever kind of evidence you have access to - if they are not satisfied with something they can always issue an RFE. But so far following the progress of other people in forums, I have not yet seen a single case where someone received any RFEs for something related to their I-944. But most cases submitted within the last couple of months probably haven't even been adjudicated yet - so who knows how they will process this form later on.

Thank you very much for your reply and insights. I came across an article also that states you can put your English skill or with other language so long as you are proficient on it, regardless of not having proper certification for it, so maybe I'll just do what that article and you just advised.

How about on the "Debts/Liabilities"? Did you, by any chance, put your debts in your foreign country (if any) or only the debts incurred here in US is counted? I don't have debts here myself but I had some CC debts in my country but we don't have a credit scoring system in there.

I think it only amounted to like $22 after conversion lol. I decided to just overdeliver to avoid further RFEs.

Hi guys! Just wondering, if you and your spouse meet the household income benchmark, do you still have to submit other assets? so much paperwork and wasted time, i am confused!

Also, for the foreign transcripts, if you have a US degree, do you STILL have to get your foreign education's papers translated/equivalenced?

thank u all!
