I also got my visa in hand within 48 hours. Interview was on aug 24.

Thanks! I think some people took issue with me using the word "majority" (which was probably wrong, but I saw a couple of people and got over-excited!)

I got my interview notification now for Nov 17th, so we will see!

That's great, congratulations!! - seems your predictions were not far off at all! :)

I'm DQ July 10, was hoping to be in the same batch of interviews as you, but nothing yet.

Not holding out too much hope to be honest, better to be surprised rather than disappointed.

Do update us, excited for you 😃

Thank you! You will certainly hear next month, I am sure! But I know that waiting and uncertainty is just the worst.

It was actually 2 weeks faster than I had thought. I am wondering if there might be some kind of "backdoor expedite" unofficial procedure, for people who got their expedites denied (like us) but still elicited some sympathy with someone at the embassy who might move their application forward in the stack a week or two if they can. Obviously there is no way to test this theory since it wouldn't be official, but I have noticed a couple of denied expedites still getting interviews a touch early. But they might just be working off that backlog, finally! Let's hope so.

Fingers crossed - I was hoping to be with my husband for his birthday in March but that's officially not happening (my notice period at work is 12 weeks!)

That's an idea, I hope for all those who submitted expedites and got rejected that it's true! - we never requested one, didn't really have a reason other than the obvious emotional challenges. I told my husband he should give NVC a call and let them know he's been given notifications for deployments three times alone this year (thankfully they have all been rescinded). He thinks we need to just wait our turn and other families have more serious issues; but I keep explaining just shows how quickly things can change and we would hate for him to be out of contact somewhere and I need his help with something.

I'm always so happy for those whose processes are progressing though :)

Am sure I've said it before, but good luck at your interview!

Thank you! I guess I can start on my pre-interview to do list, now. Exciting!

I am surprised that they didn't push your case through faster anyway, if your husband is military. I thought they were processing those visas with priority anyway (But probably misinterpreted that from somewhere)

Sorry you won't be together for your husband's birthday. Is there any way you could work the last few weeks of your notice remotely and still make it happen? My husband's birthday is this week, and we were both sad to spend it apart but finally getting our interview date is still a good birthday present and at least we can spend Christmas together 😁

Oh absolutely - am sure you've got it all together.

I was also surprised. I think we maybe had some priority with the initial processing since USCIS to NVC was ~90 days but nothing else after that. Took NVC a whole month to review one signature 🙄

Oh that's okay, I'm sorry you'll be missing yours too! It's rubbish isn't it? Can't tell you how many birthdays we've missed over the years already, am sure it's the same for you.

Christmas together will be lovely though, best present ever! That was the one thing my husband wished for this year, was hoping to deliver. Not like that was ever within my control at all! 😆

Working some of my notice remotely is a good idea; not sure it would work because I would have to send a laptop back to the UK but something to mull over. I may see what paid leave I have, by that point it's near the end of the financial year so I should have my year's entitlement to wrangle with, fingers crossed. Am sure there's some magic I might be able to work.

90 days is so fast! It took around 8 months for ours, so that part at least they must have given you priority, but I am surprised that wouldn't be for both parts.

It is rubbish indeed, and I feel you on the endless holidays spent apart! But there is finally light at the end of the tunnel 💕  Hope you can figure something out with work - even if you had to courier the laptop, it might be worth it!
