Apartment number question

Hi all,

I have a quick question to those who filed with USCIS and have an apartment number in their address.

Do all USCIS notifications(i797, biometrics etc) have apartment number on the second line or on the first line?

So does it look like this:

Your Name
Street number  street name  apt number

or:
Your Name
Street number  street name

Apt number

Thanks!

When we lived in an apartment we always put the apartment number on the second line and never had issues receiving mail from USCIS.  If I remember correctly that's what the instructions said to do.

Thanks, indeed you put the apt number on the second line and check the apt checkbox in the forms.

Do you remember the notices you received from USCIS, was the apt number on the second line or USCIS appended the apt number to main address on the first line

Basically what I'm asking if the apartment number on your USCIS notices(i797, biometrics, etc) is attached to the same line as the main street or it's on the second line

Put the apartment number on the second line.

On the mail I received from USCIS, they did append my apartment number to the same line as my street name, even though I registered it as a second line.

On the letters you received from USCIS?

Why is this an important issue to you? I went and looked at my notices from USCIS and they have my whole address in one line but I filled in the forms the way they're asking for them to be filled. It seems like a weird thing to fixate upon

Well my concern is that my address with apt number is 33 characters, quite long

I just wanted to make sure USCIS wouldn't cut my address off if they put everything on one line

Does anybody have 33+ character address?

Our old address was about 27 characters and we didn't have any issues receiving mail from USCIS - 33 doesn't seem all that long to me, there are lots of long street names and house numbers with 4-5 digits.
