Hi friends.

We submitted the AOS and financial docs and immigrant visa application to NVC. We got this feedback on our marriage certificate but do not understand what NVC wants:

"We are unable to accept this document as uploaded without all sides of every page. Please replace this document in its entirety and/or with all stamps visible."

Can someone please help clarify?

Thank you so much.

Where was your marriage certificate issued? They seem to think it has something on the back. My marriage certificate is just one single-sided page. But maybe yours is multiple pages or the pages are printed on both sides. If you can let us know which authority issued it (which country or state) then maybe someone who also married there can help.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

Interview: December 6, 2016 London

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Interview: March 22, 2021 Seattle

Oath: March 22, 2021 COVID-style same-day oath

Now a US citizen!

Did notary (called a notario in Spanish) do your marriage in Columbia?

the process varies from notary to notary and some have only a front page and some are 2 sided

NVC wants to see the entire page of both sides with any offical stamp that appears to show it is registered

Yes! We gpt married in Colombia! There is nothing on the back except for a stamp saying (white space).

I supppse we will have to incluse that then!

Yup, you have to include the "Registro Civil de Matrimonio" which is just one page, but both sides with stamps need to be scanned in. Had the same problem just a few weeks ago!

Thanks so much. Just to double check, it's the marriage certificate that is long with a stamp on the front and the back side which has a stamp saying "blank space"?

Thank you!

I just re-read your question. They are just looking for the "Registro Civil De Matrimonio" of which only has 1 page with information and the back side that is just blank. Both front and back must be sealed by the "Notaría" and have the signature of the Notario. The back side must have the added stamp that is blank. That is all that needs to be supplied. Hope this helps! Hopefully the Bogota embassy opens soon, good luck and hope to hear how your case is doing!
