Speeding ticket and two points..

I was recently (September 2020) cited for speeding (in OHIO) and was penalized two points (in INDIANA). There was no POINTS penalty in Ohio where the speeding ticket was issued. This wasn’t DUI or DWI. In over 14 years of driving this has been my second ticket, first one was in 2012. I have lost sleep over this penalty and its impact on the N400 application. What are the remedial steps to reduce the effect (if any) of my speeding citation on the N400 application?

Please guide...I am a little too worried over this ticket. By the way, there was a 110$ penalty as well which I have already paid before the due date.

It's a minor mistormenor, no issues at all. I don't believe you even have to disclose speeding tickets and parking violations, you would have to check the instructions, but I believe unless the fine was over 500 dollars you don't need to mention it even.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. This will have no impact on your N400!!!!

I know this for a fact since I got on after filing and disclosed it during the interview. She asked me how much that was and than chuckled.
Disclose it on the form or during the interview if you have already filed.

During the interview, they will go over every question with you again and you can correct and or add any info at that time.

Actually he has to mention any citation even less than $500, but if less than $500, he does not need to provide evidence. However, I advise to attach a copy of citation and payment when filing and have copy to interview to be presented ONLY if requested.

I had multiple tickets, each under $500, but I went ahead and mentioned them and showed proof that I paid them. That was that, and made for a good conversation.

The question is if you have ever been cited, I believe traffic tickets are citations? If so, yes you need to mention them on the form. Be honest and it won't affect your case at all.

Go and sleep now lol. You are worrying over nothing. Heck, some people have gotten citizenship with assault charges. You don't have to disclose.
