I finally got 3 letters for receipt numbers last Friday.

They received my case 10/1 but one of the form they only took a look at it after a month and a half.

Anyways, seems like everything is quite delayed.

So now I know they've got our case, I'm just gonna relax and wait for the biometrics I guess.

Did any of you who filed in October got biometric appointments?

Hello guys,

I applied on October and received a rejection letter for lack of payment/incorrect filing fee. No other explanation is given and I do not know what the problem is. I attached two money orders, one for $1000 and the other for $760 and applied for I-130 and I-485 concurrently. All the documents with both money orders were returned and I am wondering what should I change when I refile. I'm 100% sure money orders were valid and for as far as I know, the total amount seems fine

Any advices given are appreciated

It looks like you calculated your payments based on the fee changes that were scheduled to go into effect in October, but were blocked by a lawsuit.

If you're filing an I-130, you're not adjusting from a K-1, and so are in the wrong forum.

If you mean an I-131 Application for Travel Document (for Advance Parole), you need to pay the same $1225 it's been for years ($1140 for the I-485, $85 for biometrics, fee waived for advanced parole application -- and for employment authorization too, so you might as well include the I-765).

Now that I will refile, can I place the fees for I-130, I-485 and biometric fee in one single check for $1760 or do I need to make 2 separate payments, one for I-185 and biometric and the other one for I-130 ?

You need to make two money orders/checks. Place it on top of the form

$1225 --> I-485 and Biometric (Plus optional forms  like I-131 and I-765)

$535 --> 1-130

Still waiting. Filed oct 21. No payment taken, not a word given. I reached out to lockbox, it's been 30 days with no response. We have an appointment at the ss office even though we marked on our application that he has never applied for one (the decision came when we heard nothing back from uscis). Ss is aware his i94 is expired but said to come in anyway. Just wondering how long to wait before we send out another application.

I would say just wait.

We filed ours on 11/30 and received by 10/2 but it took a little over 2 months just to get our receipt numbers.

I think they're just really delayed so I don't think you should be too worried as long as you have filed it off.

Thank you. How long before they cashed your check? Did you mean 9/30?

Yes sorry my mistake. We filed 9/30.

I think it took a month and a half or close to two months when they cashed our check.

I was in your shoes thinking they lost our case but I knew someone signed and got our files from fedex.

Thankfully my patient wait led to some answers in the end and more to wait!

I'm impatient, and it's been over 30 days since we submitted our i-485 etc, so I emailed an inquiry. I got back an automated reply that included:

"The Lockbox has recently experienced a significant increase in filings.  This, in addition to the restrictions put in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic is causing significant delays for processing receipt notices.  USCIS continues to work hard to minimize delays."

Ok thank you. Someone signed for ours as well. Least I know it wasn't lost in the mail. We'll be patient and more patient.

Holy s* I’m glad I am joining this forum just now. I filed AOS 3 times - 2 rejections. First filed in august, then September and the last one got accepted in October and I received texts, emails and three letters on October 14th, 67 days ago. I was honestly hoping to read someone in here got a biometrics appointment, because I haven’t been able to work over here since I got here in June. I guess nobody received their biometrics yet? What a shame.. good luck to everyone!
