Thanks for your response. I got the email on the 16th. Which app?

One of the status apps for your phone there are several of them available on the app store and Google play.

Hello guys,

I submitted the application on Oct 8th and my money orders haven't even been cashed yet. I see so many others who have received updates even though they submitted their application later. This is very frustrating and its been 6 weeks already.

What should I do ?

Continue to wait and don't  base your  case on others. That's all you can do right now. It's coming!

THEY FINALLY CASHED MY CHECK!!!!

I was worried sick for a long time since me and my husband tried once with USCIS chat and call but

during one of the call, agent mistakenly hung up on my husband and we couldn't find the time to call them back yet.

I still have NOT received any text, email, or mail for notice of receipt or receipt number.

I guess they're working pretty slow.

But I'm relieved to see that $1225 has been cashed by USCIS Chicago.

Yaaaay!!!!

I really wanted to get my receipt numbers, and only had my checks cashed yesterday, but just got them by talking on the online chat.

I first struggled to get through and talk to someone, but found a way, so I thought I would share in case it helps someone:

I said: "Talk to an agent about my application" > selected "Green Card" > "yes" to already have a case > "don't have a receipt number" > question "inquire about my application".

Now waiting for the text notification and NOA in the mail, but so excited I got the receipt numbers anyway.

Under H1B valid until September 2022.

Marriage based AOS Timeline:

  1. 9/30/2020 - Application sent to USCIS Chicago lockbox using USPS
  2. 10/2/2020 - Application received by USCIS
  3. 10/26/2020 - Application rejected for outdated I-485 form
  4. 10/27/2020 - Application re-sent to USCIS lockbox using Fedex
  5. 11/19/2020 - Checks cashed (+ got my receipt numbers through online chat the following day)
  6. 11/29/2020 - Received 4 text messages from USCIS with the 4 receipt numbers.
  7. 12/03/2020 - Received 4 NOAs in the mail.
  8. 05/17/2021 - Biometrics appointment
  9. 05/20/2021 - "Case ready to be scheduled for an interview"
  10. 07/26/2021 - Case approved for my I-765 and I-131
  11. 09/01/2021 - Interview in San Antonio + "New Card Is Being Produced" status right away
  12. 09/02/2021 - "Case Is Approved"

I saw somebody who filed in July get their EAD this week. But that was lucky.

it seems like most people who filed early this year are still waiting on bio appointments 😔

I was thinking about 6 months but with a lot of places shutting down again.. who knows!

This was a huuuuuuge help! Thank you so much!

I pasted that advice to my husband and he did and called and maybe waited 5m and he finally got the receipt number! YAY!!!

I sill have to wait for NOA too but the case status says the fee was paid for fingerprint + AOS so I'm much relieved.

Thank you everyone for updates and let's keep it up! 👍

Try calling them to speak to a live person and they should be able to trace to see if it's been received from their end. See what others posted on how they got through to a live agent. Good luck and fingers crossed!

I called. They advised to email lockbox. Thanks though.

So, I finally got the receipt number for tracking as I said above.

But turns out, we received 3 different receipt numbers for tracking.

1st tracking says: On November 19, 2020, we accepted the fingerprint fee for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status

2nd tracking says: On October 1, 2020, we received your Form I-131, Application for Travel Document

3rd tracking says: On October 1, 2020, we received your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization

So looks like they took a month and a half of break until they finished the other half of our application.

is this normal?  I guess this means I have to start tracking all three numbers...
