Same! I was getting extremely worried so it’s good to see this long processing time might just be  ‘normal’ :)

Well, bad news, I got mine back yesterday, rejected because of an outdated form. So I guess that's why it took so long.

Under H1B valid until September 2022.

Marriage based AOS Timeline:

  1. 9/30/2020 - Application sent to USCIS Chicago lockbox using USPS
  2. 10/2/2020 - Application received by USCIS
  3. 10/26/2020 - Application rejected for outdated I-485 form
  4. 10/27/2020 - Application re-sent to USCIS lockbox using Fedex
  5. 11/19/2020 - Checks cashed (+ got my receipt numbers through online chat the following day)
  6. 11/29/2020 - Received 4 text messages from USCIS with the 4 receipt numbers.
  7. 12/03/2020 - Received 4 NOAs in the mail.
  8. 05/17/2021 - Biometrics appointment
  9. 05/20/2021 - "Case ready to be scheduled for an interview"
  10. 07/26/2021 - Case approved for my I-765 and I-131

Oh no, I’m so sorry, waiting so long to get that information is so frustrating!

You can refile ASAP and hopefully then, you’ll get the NOA1 quickly.
Still nothing for me, I’ll update when I hear back from them...I expect a rejection or RFE as well, though I try to remain positive!

Usually they still would give you the receipt of notice before rejection or RFE I think...

Did you get any notice from them via email, mail, or text?

Nothing so far, I’m checking my phone and emails, spams every 5 minutes in case I missed it 😅

I saw it took some people longer than 30 days these last 3 months so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. My package was supposedly received the 2nd of October.

Updated package shipped this morning :)

I had to rush since the form expires on 10/31/2020, "outdated" once, not twice!! I'm crossing my fingers for you, it's taking a little longer because of all of us trying to send it before the price increase. I'm sure you'll hear back in the next few days! Can't wait to read an update from you!

Expiration doesn't mean anything to us, as long as the edition you are sending is the current one.

A lot of USCIS forms are expired now but their edition is the current one accepted, so no issue with that.

You were ready! Hope it’ll go smoothly this time around :)

still no news for me so I used Emma to talk to an agent as somebody suggested somewhere in the forum and the lady I spoke to was very nice but she couldn’t find my name or petition in the system.

She did tell me it takes 15 days to receive a receipt notice so she put in a request for me but I have to wait 30 days for them to get back to me. I’m still a bit hopeful to get something in the next few days as I saw several people had to wait for 3 weeks or a month to get their receipt so I know all cases are different.

We might file again next week if I hear nothing from them by then as my legal stay here expires November 14th and just saw my home country is starting a new lockdown on Friday:(

I would advise against submitting another packet unless you are absolutely sure there is not another in the system. I know you are asking how you do that. I think the only sure way would be to wait. Two packets could run amok in the system! Just my opinion.

You are right but seeing they are processing cases received after mine, I’m getting very worried and impatient. I’ll follow your advice and wait a little longer.

Just a question, can you file the I130 online and sent the I485 and friends via mail?

I'm not sure about that, but just my opinion again I'd  file them all together since they are related to your case. Why give USCIS something else to misplace or lose. Someone will come along here with an answer a I'm sure.
