My fiancee has her interview scheduled for July 12 in Bogota. We're of course both anxious and nervous as the date approaches. A few questions...

How many pictures woudl be reasonable to bring of my fiancee and I together?

What other evidence will be considered important?

Any gotchyas/potential snags to be aware of ahead of time?

If she gets approved that day when can we expect to get the actual visa? The next day or do they send it by courrier?

congrats on getting to the interview iwthout puling your hair out! haha. yeah, i think the embassy reviews in the colombia embassy section of this site are a good source of info. briefly, however, i will say that there is no method to their madness. people will tell you that they brought relatively no evidence and they passed the interview. others will tell you that they brought everything but the kitchen sink and they didn't pass. basic words of wisdom: try to relax during the interview, be yourself, do try too hard, and bring some solid evidence. carlos organized a ton of info (emails, pictures, receipts from restaurants, airline tickets, et cetera) and very little was looked at during the interview. we found that pictures of me with my husbands family we winners. they asked carlos some weird quetsions and he honelty didn't have the answer to them. for example, they asked what university i went to here in the states. he said he knew i went to university, but honestly he couldn't remember bc english is not his first language, of course. i can understand bc i know that he went to university, but because spanish is not my first language, i couldn't remember the name of his university myself! the interviewer was ok with his answer. if you have anymore quetsions, feel free to give me a shout. thanks!

11/03/06: Carlos arrives in the States for the first time

12/05/06: MARRIED MARRIED MARRIED!!!!!

01/11/07: Applied for SSN

01/17/07: Received SS card in snailmail

03/13/07: Submitted AOS and EAD

03/22/07: Received NOA1 for both AOS and EAD in mail

03/24.07: Received Biometrics Appt. letter

04/06/07: Biometrics Appt.

04/07/07: AOS RFE (used an outdated form. argh!)

04/10/07: Mailed RFE

04/18/07: USCIS notes that processing has resumed

06/18/07: EAD received

06/19/07: Greencard!! No interview!
