<yawn> when are the bleach shots and lysol injections going to come up?

Sweden doesn't seem to believe much in masks, and they have done pretty well overall.

If I lived/worked/shopped in a place where there were crowds of people around, I might feel differently about the masks.  But I am rarely close to anyone except perhaps in a checkout line, and even then, usually a shopping cart length plus a bit, so over 6 feet.  So not much has really changed for me, other than the mask requirement.

Having lived in Asia for a few years, I know they use them religiously when they get sick, and they probably do help somewhat.  But people still got sick, even with them in use.  Probably because most only don them after they got sick.

I listed the best.  They masked up.  Taiwan masked up in January.  No meds needed.

85% sounds made up.  Talking Point maybe?

No, you think masks are more dangerous than COVID 😂

I actually want you to think that.

Some so called masks are, but believe what you will.  Not everything made of fabric is aN effective filter.

Deaths per 100k:  US 10th, Sweden 14th.  See earlier post about bottom

feeding.
America needs to be great, not comparing ourselves to the bottom.  Thanks trumpers

Again, Taiwan masked up in January.  Nobody was sick.

Taiwan did a lot more than mask up.  Should the WHO have heeded the warning of Taiwan, sure, but they didn’t.

You are correct but after SARS they had a plan and they executed that plan well.  That plan included penalties for non-compliance however they did not and it was not necessary to shut everything down.  i left out Japan?  They actually passed out masks to the public.  You know better than to say masks don’t make a difference.  They are a huge part of their response.

You’re pretending dude.  Enough already.  Combinations of materials and droplet size efficiencies have been studied to death this year.  Real studies, building on studies during SARS.

I get y’all like trump.  Germs aren’t political.  Deliberately spreading them borders on criminal.

I've seen a few people that start to sweat buckets with this infection and it's like their brain turns off and they don't even comprehend it's happening to them. They start babbling gibberish and acting completely abnormal and think there's nothing amiss. I don't know if it's the fever making them behave stupid or the actual disease. Being serious here...

But yes you are right. Sweaty, fatigued in the face, yellowed, and a little altered. He has been sweaty before but there was something quite different here.

One of the early signs they are recognizing more that people may not be aware of is that people present with symptoms of what would look like a mild stroke. Dizziness, light headedness, numbness, disorientation and symptoms of that nature. Temperature disregulation may be another symptom that fits that group of symptoms.

In addition to those, the people I have talked to recently who caught it all seem to have had the loss of smell/taste as their first indication that made them realize it was more than a "normal" cold or flu.

Masks worn properly stop the outgoing spread of droplets and aerosols (which can contain virus). Seems disingenuous if someone is not aware of that at this point.

If only I had a penny for every improperly worn mask I have seen.  While I am sure you do it right, the majority do not.  And even when I try for the best fit, my glasses pretty much always fog up, showing me where most of my vapors are traveling.

To me, the neck gaiters are the worst.  I just don't see why anyone would wear one of those?

Masks were never recommended for or intended to protect the wearer.  This concept seems insurmountable.

Loss and/or alteration of smell too is a big one, but I think that was already well known. I saw a research paper recently that said loss of taste is less common by itself. IIRC, most of what we taste is related to smell anyway, so probably all linked.

I’d be richer if I had a penny for every trumper who justifies not wearing one because they see others wearing them improperly

Yeah, I'm sure they are directly related.  I know my sense of taste goes wacky when I get stuffed up.  That whole taste bud/sinus cavity relationship is intricate.
