President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump test positive for Covid-19

I'm glad to get updates about the President's health. His good health is important -- anything less has the potential to affect market volatility, national morale, and national security. And yes, that needs to be tempered with the reality that while he's a public figure, he's also entitled to privacy. It's a delicate line to draw, and in the past White House doctors have bent the truth about other presidents' health conditions. So I think it's right to have some skepticism that the limited information is an accurate reflection of what is truly happening.

Happy talk that contradicts itself or is obtuse to the point of looking like awful kabuki theatre doesn't make the president actually better, or stave off a dip in market confidence. Some of the answers given by his doctors sound rather like they were written by lawyers -- half-answers that leave questions pending. And yet I know as much as I would like to know the full picture, Trump is entitled to some privacy in what must be a very difficult time.

I do wish a very speedy recovery to the President and the First Lady. I'm no fan of either, but we are all in this together.

You are welcome to go to WR and try to get more information.

I Shouldn't have to go anywhere. There should be official press conferences that wheel out the VP , the Chief of staff and the people with the medical knowledge to come out and tell us the truth.

You take what you get.  If you want more personal information on the President it is up to you to dig for it.  I would love to have more personal information on both Trump and Biden with respect to their physical and mental abilities.  Beyond that we rely on the Constitution to protect the continuity of government.

Weird because yesterday he was whining about the media's information posted on twitter... calling them random twitter trolls.

Now he's citing them (Dr. Buzzfeed, here) to suggest Trump's doctors are liars.

Basically, one has the aforementioned to fill that insatiable gap for "information".. the media provides!

It's pretty clear to me.  Trump has covid.  He's being treated for covid, and seems to be doing well at the moment.  Not much else to do at this point but wait.  It's a 50/50 chance that he will either improve from this point forward, or get worse.    As I said before, hourly updates won't do anything except put some in a tizzy.

If he gets better soon, we will see him going to the WH.  If he gets worse, we will see the 25th going into play.  Doesn't really make sense to try to armchair quarterback what the experts are doing for him, IMO.

No, we didn't get the information we need.

What is it that you feel you need, that you are not getting, exactly?

And why haven't/weren't these demands made of Biden or RBG?

Very easy to spot nonsense.

Neither of those folks occupy the Whitehouse. Biden has provided the results of two tests post debate. What do you want?

Very easy to spot a smokescreen.

The doctor contradicted himself and Mark Meadows.

Results of what?

And I think you're trying too hard to find something to take issue with.

You get the transparency in government that you speak up for.

Be advised that the staff at Walter Reed are all active duty military having said that they are of course going to say whatever DT wants the public to know. So in effect yes I'd call that omission of details, so for lack of a better term yes they are lying!

How would you know what the truth is and who's omitting what?
