That MS Paint arrow is kind of naughty on its own. :P

Alex's daughter and ex live in a little village in Dorset that is near a hamlet that has a very, VERY naughty name. I cannot even write it here, but imagine it's a variation on something like "Pooperton."

Why should we believe Dan Bongino? Isn't it wiser to be skeptical about both the current agents AND Bongino's statements? I don't trust someone's statement by default just because I prefer its contents.

I realize what he said doesn't fit the narrative you obviously prefer, but at least we know what he said and that he said it.  I prefer that over anonymous any day.

The people currently in the secret service have no voice that is not anonymous. Do you have a groundswell of retired SS that share Oingo-Boingo's view?

But it doesn't make it true. It doesn't make it false either. Anonymity doesn't mean the source is unknown or unknowable, it merely means it is currently unknown to us. Anonymous but credible sources are crucial to journalism. Deep Throat comes to mind of course -- his identity was unknown for many years, and yet he told the truth.

I agree with the second half of that statement -- it shouldn't dominate our lives. But a bit of fear isn't a bad thing when a dangerous virus continues to rip through our communities -- fear doesn't mean necessarily mean cowering or submission. It can also mean a respect for the reality that our public health is at risk if we do not take precautions. I don't want to get COVID19 and I don't want to pass it on to anyone if I am asymptomatic, so I wear a mask in public, socially distance, wash my hands frequently and all the other stuff that we're supposed to do. I don't suit up in head to toe PPE, I don't wear gloves and I don't wear a mask if I am out in nature and far enough away from other people. Fearlessness can lead to recklessness. I am not fearless because I try my best not to be reckless.
