Friends brother is in hospital, can she visit?

I agree!  My brother in law had a massive stroke 2 weeks ago and has been in two Philadelphia hospitals.  The first one only allowed my sister.  The second allows my sister and his children but noone else can see him so we FaceTime (although he is not responsive at the moment).

 

It would be disappointing to fight your way here and you can't see him anyway.

This is a really good point, and could save a great deal of trouble for anyone thinking about travelling for similar reasons.

 

Also worth considering that hospital policies can change on short notice, especially if the surrounding area becomes a COVID hotspot. A visitors allowed policy could change into "no visitors allowed" by the time she finishes quarantine.
