N-400 October 2020 Filers

Third time into the system after GC, ROC, and now Naturalization.

Completed using Chrome, didn't seem to have issues.

Got it in this morning to avoid the price hike, though it seems that may have been put on hold by a federal judge.

I guess its time to hurry up and wait.

I just submitted my N-400 online under the 3-year rule. I was charged $725 immediately on my credit card.

What did you guys bring as evidence?

I am sure that I am running short, but if I understood correctly, I can bring more stuff to the interview...

 

- Joint tax return documents for the last 3 years
- Copy of my wife's Passport

- House utilities paid by both of us in the last 3 months

- Copy of our health insurance cards and plan showing a joint membership

- Copy of different plane, train, and bus tickets with both of our names that we took in the last 3 years
- A legal contract with my lawyer signed by both of us in which we appear as husband and wife

I am not planning on bringing anything extra. I have uploaded all the documents that I had.

- taxes

- utility bills

- warranty deed for the house we bought together

- health insurance records

- ultrasound for our baby (due dec 2020)

- title to the car (old that no longer we have)

- licenses plates renewal cards for current cars that shows both of us as owners

- all the joint checking statements for the last 4 years

 

I never uploaded any travel documents such as flights etc. Honestly, I don't feel like this is so relevant at that stage. I definitely had that for all the previous stages.

 

I also just check the status of my case in the.portal and I am quite impressed how the process has changed. They gave me estimate timeline of 10 months (August 2021) and I could see a copy o mailed receipt notice. Pretty cool!

Just checked this morning and it has an estimated case completion time of 6 months (April 2021).

Yeah I don't know I just got them handy and when you are filling online it is very easy to add...

I think I should have added my credit card statements and more utility bills to prove we have both living together since end of 2016 but well, I'll bring them to the interview.

I think you can still upload additional documents. When I went to the portal this morning, I am pretty sure I saw the option for that. Can't hurt to add now, if you have the files.

I started yesterday with the application, lot of problems uploading the files, they disappeared multiple times! Using Chrome.

Hoping today it will be a little better and could finish uploading...

3 joint accounts statements per year for the last 3 years

Insurance cards

IDs showing we have been living together

Marriage certificate

Yeah, thanks for the tip! I'll keep it in mind. I can see that in the USCIS website now:

By the way, now my case appears as received:

 

Estimated wait time: 3 days (whatever that means)
