Case Complete (DQ) to Interview November 2020

Anyone recently travel to the US after passing their interview? Looking to see if anyone can share your experiance at the point of entry...what they ask, what the procedureis like, is there a seperate screening for CR1 etc.

Hello,

Anyone from India waiting for interview post DQ ? I saw in the Telegram group that people done DQ in Jan Feb 2020 are scheduled for Nov 2020. This is going so slow. Mumbai consulate may be working with low staff count but when they have CR1/IR1 as highest priority why are they not calling a lot for the interview? 

 

Requesting friends who are waiting for Mumbai Consulate interview to share their experience / waiting time please. This is so tiring at the last stage too.

Had our interview on the 7th. We were waiting for the physical to go through (they said about a week). I looked on the Ceac status check out of curiosity and it says refusal. My husband has a 10 year ban until February 9 2021, so I expected this (long story). We never thought we would get through the process so fast, we were aiming for mid 2021. Im guessing we will have to file a waiver of inadmisibility, even though the ban will expire before the waiver is processed. Just waiting for instructions from the embassy now. Wish us luck! 🤞🤞

Hello kind people. If someone could offer their opinion on my situation, that would be great.

 

So my case is Hong Kong F2A visa and I got DQ back in January. Interview was scheduled for late March, but due to pandemic, I could not fly back to Hong Kong for my interview. I emailed the HK consulate/embassy and asked them to move the interview date to September, and they honored my request. It's October now and I haven't gotten any email from them telling me to show up for the interview. Their embassies started opening again during Summer and while I understand they have some backlogs of cases to attend to, I see in the "Case Complete to Interview Stats Spreadsheet" people continue to go from case complete to interview at a normal pace (at least Hong Kong is concerned). Is this normal? 

 

Also, I paid my ceac fees back in July 2019, and since it's been a year, would I have to pay again?

Isn't the F2A Visa part of the Presidential Proclamation and still suspended through the end of the year? Looking at the Immigration timeline for F2A on here I don't see any evidence that this class of Visa has resumed. I'm not sure why they would honor your request if they aren't processing this type of Visa, but that would explain why they haven't contacted you to schedule an interview. The spreadsheet you're looking at is primarily IR-1/CR-1 visas which aren't affected by the proclamation.

It's the confirmation number of your DS-260. You should already have that printed off you need for the interview.

We requested an expedite a few days ago based on a medical emergency. My father-in-law is very very sick and my husband is really struggling under the pressure and needs my help to take care of him. We had a doctor’s note from the ICU and all that to support the case. Now I’m wondering if this was the expedited interview date or not? The email didn’t mention anything about the expedite and the date is over a month away. So I’m thinking this might be just a fluke and maybe they haven’t processed the expedite yet because we only sent it a few days ago. 
 

Also, on CEAC, the status still says “at NVC” even though the email states that the case is at the local embassy.

They just process you take biometrics they might ask some questions where you going who's your spouse or they might not. Doesn't take more than a few minutes.

Sorry but now you have to wait until your Visa category ban is lifted. Hopefully after the first of the year. You have to wait now.

Man it's so good to see the November dates poppin. Now you see what we have the thread named accordingly. Praying for all of you waiting for these embassies to catch up.
