Does your medical location electronically send the exam results? If so, maybe they updated that in the system. When we had our interview scheduled the case was updated a few days after our medical and they had also reviewed our documents because they let us know some info on our police certificate was wrong.

Yes it's sent electronically.

Unfortunately one of the vaccines wasn't available so I was asked to come get it next Wednesday. Problem is, that's the same day of the interview. And I can only get to.the clinic after the interview (which is scheduled for 9 am). I'm worried that might cause a delay in the visa processing. The clinic assured me that it's not going to be a problem once I've already had every other test and vaccination done

Entirely likely then that the case update is because they received the results and updated them in your case file.

Yes, that should be fine. If it's required in order to approve you, they will give you a 221g form with the items needed to be remedied in order to issue the Visa. You would then submit the necessary information showing the vaccination had been performed and they would then change your status to approved and issue the Visa. Hopefully that update will be quick and not delay the processing.

Thank you so much for your advice!

Did they let you know the date of appointment at once? Because we got to some reps and they told they will provide our information to the manager and they will schedule an appointment. Once it will be scheduled they will call us, but I don't really believe that's the case. I was calling to figure out if we are scheduled and no one gave us a answer except wait.

It's so stressful to talk with those representatives, they are extremely rude and usually just hang up on you.

Yes. It sucks dealing with them.

They gave us the date right away but it took several phone calls and following all those steps.

I eventually spoke to someone kind and she told me the supervisor takes appointments once per week and she gave us the date and time right there on the call.

Stay persistent and keep calling and get an in-person interview if you still haven't received anything... I believe it's within 2 weeks of arrival. We waiting 4 months lol

Hope this helps you out!

Best,

Robert

Gotcha! I knew we shouldn't believe them saying they will contact us and let us know the date.

Yeah we are on 3rd week that's why we started calling and figure out what's wrong. Only one lady was super helpful and told us that we need to have job offer or insurance request to proceed. Hopefully we will get into her again

I'm a bit hesitant to send passport over the mail. Do you think it worth a shot just to get a phone call with manager and schedule everything? Or do we need to ship the document first and mentioned we did so?

We were told we needed one of those things too... turns out you don't actually need it since we got ours without anything!

I think they put up these road blocks because of bureaucratic red tape...

Stay persistent on the phone and keep calling until you speak to someone kind again and they will schedule the interview in person..

Good luck!

Actually the clinic is adjacent the embassy. I'm thinking I could try and get the vaccines before I go in for the interview then, show the consular officer my vaccination record, if need be.

Oh that's convenient and could work. If you are able to show the proof on the spot, that would definitely ensure you have everything you need to be approved at that moment.

I completely agree to be persistent. You can also try calling the national SSA call center and see if they're able to schedule an appointment at your local office. It's worth a try. Their number is 1-800-772-1213.

I have never been able to see when my case was created or last updated on the visa status tracker - it has always said the same since I got DQ.

Is there something I'm missing? Obviously not a massive issue, but just out of curiosity would be nice to see if there have in fact been any changes since July.

From what I know, this doesn't change until you get expedite or get an appointment assigned. The status states 'At NVC' until is on its way to embassy - 'In Transit' > 'Ready'.

Congrats!, Did you applied for an expedite???

At NVC stage, yes.. that was approved and sent to the Embassy back in July. So we waited 3 month to get an interview appointment.
