I see Chihuahua State, which houses the US Mexican Consulate in Juarez, is back to being in a "red" (highest Covid alert) state... is there no end in sight??  How depressing.  I never thought when we started this process that 7 years later we'd still be trying to get my husband's visa.  Why can't those waiting in the US for visa appointments just report to an immigration agency for an interview with an agent and if denied, immediately deport, like those adjusting status, until a Covid vaccine is widely available?  Yea right, that would make too much sense.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying about those in the US.

But yeah no end in sight, wish they'd come up with a new plan something like starting immigrant visa interviews in other consulates in Mexico 😪

Service Center: Texas Service Center SRC

Consulate: Juarez, Mexico

I-130 NOA1: 2019/03/21

I-130 NOA2: 2019/09/17

NVC DQ: 2020/01/21

Visa Approved: 2021/07/01

We got dq two months ago.... do we need to schedule the appointment ourselves?

Which Embassy will your interview be at? The procedure for interviews are scheduled differs depending on which one. Also depending on the Embassy, their backlog, and whether they are fully open due to covid will determine how long it takes to be scheduled. In most cases these days people are waiting longer than two months after being DQd.

No, they send you the interview date.  However, once you receive the interview email from the NVC...you have to register the interview and a courier service and of course schedule mee exam.

No NVC scheduled all Non-Expedite interviews. Have to wait.
