Case Complete (DQ) to Interview November 2020

I see Chihuahua State, which houses the US Mexican Consulate in Juarez, is back to being in a "red" (highest Covid alert) state... is there no end in sight??  How depressing.  I never thought when we started this process that 7 years later we'd still be trying to get my husband's visa.  Why can't those waiting in the US for visa appointments just report to an immigration agency for an interview with an agent and if denied, immediately deport, like those adjusting status, until a Covid vaccine is widely available?  Yea right, that would make too much sense.

My wife's case was approved by USCIS on 5/12/2020. The kids received a RFE (which was for documents they already had on file). The kids didn't get approved until 9/25/2020. Do you think this delay is reason for requesting an Expedited interview? All have been DQ'd (wife 8/16 - kids 10/19) at NVC.

What number did you use to call NVC? My wife was DQ'd August 19th, one daughter 10/15 and the other 10/19. I am getting anxious so I wanted to call but maybe I need to give them more time?

 

Hi, I called, 603-334-0700 to reach them.  It all depends on the status of your Embassy.  Are they open? Are they back to routine processing or only doing emergencies and expedites?  Are they still catching up with the backlog? so many scenarios can be the case unfortunately.   I  believe if my expedite were not approved I would still be waiting...but check your Embassy status first is what I recommend.   Once my Embassy opened for expedites and backlog interviews I sent our expedite request.

The timeline looks fine by me, due to Covid there's a huge backlog. Some of us got DQ'd in February and haven't heard anything yet. Hope this helps.

Only civil documents. Interview passed in good way, but woman asked us a lot of questions 😆😆😆. She was kind and friendly. I wish everyone here will also pass easy interviews. Best of wishes.

Thanks! I see though that my name sounds to be in the spreadsheet twice. You can remove one of the instances!
