Hello, everyone! Hopefully all couples are married by now and onto the next step.

We got married on 02/13/2022 and only now received our marriage certificate.

Saving up for I-485 filing fee.

Question arises if I can apply for EAD right now or after we file I-485?

When we do file I-485, what is my legal status for the purposes of filing EAD? It's a bit confusing in the form since we are not sure if I will still be considered a K1 visa holder even though it expired?

We had our interview yesterday for AOS and were approved :)

Wow congratulations!

We just got a rejection, must be some error in our package.

This is the list that we followed:

  1. Cover page
  2. Check for $1,225 (Form I-485 @ $1,140; biometrics @ $85)
  3. Form I-485: Petition for Alien Relative
  4. Beneficiary’s passport (copy)
  5. Beneficiary’s K-1 visa (copy)
  6. NOA2 for I-129F (copy)
  7. I-94 Arrival Record (electronic copy)
  8. Beneficiary’s birth certificate (notarized translation)
  9. Beneficiary’s birth certificate (copy)
  10. U.S. Marriage Certificate of Beneficiary and Petitioner (certified copy)
  11. Beneficiary’s vaccination records (copy)
  12. Petitioner’s I-864, Affidavit of Support, and supporting documents
  13. Beneficiary’s Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization
  14. Employment Authorization Card (copy)
  15. Beneficiary’s Form I-131, Application for Travel Document

Is there something missing?

Otherwise, it must be the contents of the application itself.
