Our NOA1 has arrived! I tried to update my timeline here and it errored out, saying that there could only be 8 weeks max between filing the I129F and receiving the NOA1. It's Oct 29-Jan 18 in my case. Not sure if that's something an admin can update so the timelines stay accurate.

This is great to hear!

Also, additional hope for you October filers. So far for today day I'm counting 28 I-129F's getting NOA-1s generated, with four additional from yesterday. All have receipt dates for 30 October. This is the single biggest movement in I-129F NOA-1s since before Christmas. Since the holidays we have been seeing around 20 total per week, so counting 28 before the end of a single business day is very encouraging.

Hooray! Gives us hope :) however I’m a bit annoyed they haven’t backdated it more than that...? I guess I was holding hope that they would date the NOA1 to when it would normally have been issued ie in your case somewhere around mid-November.

oh well, at least they seem to be trying hard to get through the backlog!

we last saw each other: March 2020
I-129F sent: 12/24/2020

USCIS received: 12/29/2020

NOA1 notice date: 2/27/2021

NOA2: 08/11/2021

NOA2 paper copy: 08/18/2021

Yeah. Interestingly, so the paper NoA1 I received had the notice date of Jan 18, but when I checked my case status online it said it was received Oct 29 and if I don't receive my receipt notice by Nov 28 to contact them. But when I called in Jan they had said I wasn't in the system and didn't have a case number. So not sure what that means for backdating.

Either way, it seems like they just kind of stopped for awhile in Oct, it wasn't that they were adding extra people in front of us. So I'm thinking when they finish processing the people who got their NoAs on time, we should still be next in line. Without the same 3 month gap.

Fingers crossed. Hope yours comes soon!

Hey all, they finally cashed my check. So mine happened last night a full 3 months! Looks like no legal action necessary yet lol. Sent mine Oct 27th and received Oct 31.

So will the two years be counted from Oct. 31 or from a date in Jan when they send the NOA1?

Removal of Conditions (I-751)

2 years? Where did you hear that number? I hope it won't be that long, but supposedly they back date to when it was received so it will count from Oct 31.

I meant the two years during which you are required to have met your fiance at least once. (two years prior to filing)

Oh I see. I have to believe they would back date to when you applied. I don't know for sure, but I can't imagine otherwise. I'm sure you're good.

You will put the received date on your timeline, not notice date :)

they adjudicate based on received date, so you are already a couple months closer to NOA2

See! I told you everything would be okay ☺️ now you are already almost three months into the waiting time of 6-8 months for NOA2!

May I confirm this please - I always thought they started to adjudicate based off NOA1 so if I receive my NOA1 (let’s hope) in Feb then the 6-8 months starts from Feb. But you are saying it’s from the day they received it so if received late Dec/early Jan, then my 6-8 months starts from late Dec/early Jan?

the latter is super promising haha so I hope it’s that!

Hi everyone,

We applied K1 visa on Oct 15th and they received the package on Oct 20th but we haven’t received any notification or cash the check for NOA1 until now

My fiancé called to USCIS and they said he should send an email to lockbox then he just got an automatic response that we have to wait the response in 30 days.

I’m very confused, what should we do now ?
