I'm not sure why that post is hidden?  I have to hit my last post to read it?

Just to clarify  2 things,

I send beneficiary a copy of the I-134 and she sends  it in her packet 3?

And I send her a copy of the I-129 for her to take to interview just in case?

She hands carries the I-134, Affidavit of Support to the interview. She can use the I-129f, Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) to learn more about you. If she is well schooled on your background, then there isn't a need to send it. It won't bee asked for at the interview.

just in case you don't see my hidden question.  IS a non certified email copy of marriage license ok?

We can click on the "hidden question" and it will reveal itself.

we completed our DS160 today for our K1 But my Thai Fiancé worries we did not need to pay the 265$ so far .. According to her facebook group you need to pay for DS160.

I'm a bit confused on this matter.  We tried a B2 visa 2 years ago and had to go to the bank and pay after completing our Ds160  but I have not seen any similar instructions in the DS160 process or confirmation page.   I see on some K1 visa cost pages that they list a DS160 fee?

Also we tried to create a GSS  account this morning and evening and we  get some error  saying admin has been notifiedof this problem or somthing?

There is no DS-160, Online Nonimmigrant Visa Application fee. There is a visa application fee. You must wait till the embassy contacts you with instructions. Thailand embassy schedules the appointments after you have submitted the required documents from their P3. Once you return it, they will send you the P4 which will have additional information for what is required for the interview.

You need to be a part of the conversation in the sub-forum for Thailand where others are processing a visa just like yourself and you will give you information that closely resembles what is required for the embassy in Thailand. Each embassy is different in what they require.

Go to the blue ribbon above, select "forums" then scroll about three-fourths of the page down and select the region that most represents where your country is located.

Thank you Mr Greenbaum,   I admit I get confused on this stuff.  One reason is  when we tried the DS160 for a B2 visa  2 years ago we then i remember how we needed to pay. A waste of 165$  paid   , then we needed to go to a bank in Bangkok and pay the 165$.  I wrongly connected the fee to the DS160.   I see now that DS160 is a form used for many visa's.  Then  Yesterday I had the fiancee arguing that we will need to pay.  They say a Thai woman will listen to all her family, friends, dog, buffalos before listening to the foreigner.  I have a logical brain and this visa stuff and terminology defies logic. We are trying to do everything early so we don't add any days to what most likely will be a 450+ day timeline.

I understand. Diverse cultures have a way of raising their head up and biting you in the seat of the pants. Filipinos have their own way to make their husbands suffer. You ask a question and you never get a straight answer but a long diatribe of everything but. Ask it again and you get the same speech. Or they will ask you to do something like "move that over there" and use their lips and head to point in the direction. If you are across the room it makes no sense. Ask again and you get the lip pointing. It's like a southerner who gives you instructions when you are lost and says, "it's just up the road a piece". Oy Vey!

We are all here to try and help each other. Forget what you know from a different visa process, like the B2, and concentrate on the K-1. There many here that will guide you, you just need to be open. Sometimes you need to do what you think you should do based on your knowledge not what others who haven't done their research. FB, twitter, and such are no places for actual hands-on advice.

Good luck and stay engaged in the process.

I had received my p3 from the embassy asked to pay for MRV and schedule an appointment for interview. which we did, because we have done all the requirements, they asked for medical, affidavit support, etc... now my question is I had mailed my fiancé package of affidavit support papers which he will take with him to interview. is there anything different I need to do, I just saw a post that says to make fee for that? it did not mention anything about fee for affidavit support. it only mentions to bring it at time of interview. Please let me know. Also, I have received and update K1 P3 I can send where it can help other.

First thanks for sharing your P3 letter as I had an old one from 2015. I can share to help others. Thanks for giving back to the community.

Here is what the maximum information for the submittal of financials for your interview. Each embassy is different, and I recommend that you refer to the P3 for what your embassy is asking for.  If in doubt more is better in this situation. Stick with what is in the P3 and ignore the "outside noise" unless they can produce documentation that says otherwise. Just my experience.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT: You must submit any evidence which will show that you and members of your family who will accompany you are not likely to become public charges while in the United States. Visa petitioner (US Citizen) will have to complete form I-134. If the petitioner does not qualify as a sponsor, a Joint-Sponsor should present (any US Citizen living in the US or Legal Permanent Resident), who will also have to complete form I-134. Both the Sponsor (Petitioner) as well as the Joint-Sponsor, will have to present last year's income tax return transcripts. W2 form and proof of current and sustainable income (e.g., letter of employment on letterhead including salary and start date, most recent salary receipts, bank accounts, the value of properties, etc.). You may download the I-134 affidavit at https://www.uscis.gov/i-134. Bank statements in place of a letter from the bank will work just fine. Print the statement that shows the opening balance for a month and the closing balance for that month. Do that for 12 months—no need to print off all pages of a bank statement.

Get the IRS transcript in place of the actual 1040 here:

There is no fee for the I-134, Affidavit of Support.

I contacted the NVC today, they said they have recieved the 129F from USCIS but they did not put it in their system yet and assign a case #.  How long does it take to assign a case number once the NVC does receive the 129F from USCIS?

My NOA2 was Oct 26. I reached out to NVC via their Ask NVC email form on Nov 28 and received a reply with my case number on Dec 2. I don’t know when NVC received my case though or how long it took them to assign a case#.

It takes 30-40 days from NOA2/USCIS to the NVC and then another 5-10 business days before a case number is available. "your mileage may vary"
