Hello everybody,

I'm an italian citizen married to a us citizen. I have been living in Bahrain for the last 2 years on military orders. We started the process over a year ago and finally on September 18 my case has become DQ at NVC and I have been waiting for my interview letter. My husband left 2 weeks ago to attend a school in the us till February and I have been living all alone. I still have residence in Italy and that's why I would like to change my interview location there, where i can be with my family at least. The NVC told me that it shouldn't slow down my case since it's already DQ. But my concern is that the wait for the interview in Italy is longer than Bahrain. The us embassy in Bahrain told me that i would likely receive an interview in November since October is already filled. I tried to email us consulate in Naples over a week ago but no luck. We have military orders for Japan in march, so I'm trying to get over this as soon as possible. Does anybody know the wait time in Naples at the moment? Thank you!

from today's updates September 30th

I would wait it out in Bahrain as there are only 5907 active covid cases there

and in Italy there are 31,311

just something to consider plus getting a possible November interview

and the US embassy in Italy September 15 issued a warning of travel (level 3)

check with US embassy site for daily briefings concerning visas

i find they resummed some interviews July 20th

also check portal here for Italy to see if it posts any spousal visa interview and the dates
