Does the proof of a valid marriage look OK?

I am so nervous. I was told we will have an interview. Then we will get something known as packet 3 and 4 to be filled out later. I assume that filing directly means the I-130 is approved right then and there (since we get the packet 3 and 4)?

Again I am sorry for cross posting. I posted this here since the I-130 process is the same.

Thanks for the help,

Jerrod and Vicky

June 26 2007: I filed the I-130 in Saint Petersburg Russia

July 4 2007: I return to the USA

July 9 2007: I receive a request for additional information

August 2 2007: I receive a letter from the DHS that the process is complete and sent to the embassy

August 15 2007: Vicky receives packet 3 and 4.

October 2 2007: Vicky gets the visa

DCF is fast and the way to go.

Yes, if you've been told you'll get packet 3 on the spot, then the I-130 will be approved on the spot as long as they're satisfied with it.

If you don't have any joint accounts or lease/mortgage, you should bring more than one affidavit. In the instructions, it doesn't say a certain number but it does say "affidavits" rather than the singular "affidavit".

I noticed in your other post that you refer to the I-130 as an application. It's a petition to allow your wife to apply for an immigrant visa. If you're given Packet 3, that means the petition is approved. But it doesn't mean the visa is approved. The application for that is in packet 3 and then there's the medical and another interview. Filing DCF is the best and fastest way though.

And lastly, this isn't relevant to the K3 visa. Your wife will be applying for an immigrant visa - either CR1 or IR1.

SUCCESS!!!!

Sorry for using the incorrect terms. I just petitioned and it was soo easy. The lady said my application was perfect. I did not include the affidavits.

Thanks for the help. I plan to do a lot more reading now that I got this emergency situation out of the way. Now for packet 3 and 4.
