Update: I just checked our status online and it shows that my k2 has taken fingers print on Dec. 14th but me the petitioner still show Case was received. Hope it's alright.

Interesting, for us it's the other way around. While my case status changed yesterday to Fingerprints were taken, my K2's still remains in Case was received.

I hope it's okay as well.

Hey guys

stupid question cuz it’s been a while-

when we say NOA date, Particularly for the tracking of info here on visa journey and the handy dandy spreadsheet, are we using the received date on the NOA letter or the notice date?

Before, those were close and rarely mattered. These days and the crazy backlog, they’re weeks apart. I believe it’s the receipt date but trying to make sure :)

So today my case status went from received to "transferred to a new jurisdiction", anyone know what this may mean?

Wow when did they receive your package? This is usually good news. Basically they’re telling you that they moved your case from one office to another. And now that new office will view your application. They may not do anything or they may start working on it soon. I meant it’s good news because at least you know there’s some movement instead of having it sit in an office collecting dust for months.

They received it and I got my receipt number maybe a month ago. I read they usually transfer cases to even out workload.

Hi everyone I sent my husbands application on 10-24 in TX and still haven’t received a receipt notice. I filed too early in August and got it returned within a week. Now it’s been almost 2 months and no word. Starting to worry. Paid by cashiers check and UPS confirmed the package was received and signed for.

Call USCIS. When you get to the automatic system, say "didn't receive receipt notice" to get to a live person.
