All right, I tried calling USCIS again today with no luck, stupid system never let me get through and speak with a real person.

But to my great surprise, daughter's separate extension letter arrived. Finally, I can exhale and have some peace of mind. Thank you all for your advice.

I'm very happy for you ❤️

Sorry to hear you weren’t able to get through.. not sure why. But it doesn’t matter anymore now that you got it! Yay.

Anybody know why some..(looks very like few.)filers get biometrics letter saying "waived" when so many get nothing about biometrics? When should we expect this waiver or appointment letter? Looking at the Google spreadsheet..it seems those that got waiver got it quickly...and everyone e else ...nothing....we we're talking about heading to the mountains ,,pretty much off grid for a CPL months ...but I don't want to miss an an appointment. Anyone kkow anything about this mystery of mine?

Well according to Sept Spread sheet EAC SRC and LIN have a good chance of having them waived. Which are You?

We are YSC. So am I understanding this right? Our need for biometrics is linked to what service center we happen to be assigned to? Not case by case necessity?

That sounds odd. I would have expected the details of individual case filing  themselves to be the Indicators not geographic location.

We all had biometrics at beginning of 2 yr GreenCard. Have our fingerprints somehow changed just because we live in Florida as opposed to Texas?

So, any idea when to expect this letter of appointment? 2 months, 6 months,30 months?

sorry I cant answer as our data from September shows nothing. maybe visit some earlier months and throw out the question. and yes it does appear to be service center related for the most part. Also if an interview is in the future your case will be moved to MSC or NSC . anything can happen so tough to make plans.

Hi everyone, sent off my husbands I751 and received a letter stating that they are granting an 18 month extension.

Anyone else receive this? My concern is that its only a document not a new GC with an extension date. This is going to be tricky with work since he went to an interview yesterday and they looked his information and showed not active in E/FILE verification. Im thinking we will once again have to get a info pass session and try and get a new stamp in his passport and documentation and then go to Social Security to update the information since we have experienced in the past that Social Security is not directly connected with USCIS when information is updated. Anyone else????

That is how it works. You need to use the expired GC with extension letter whenever you need a valid GC.

Why would you need to go to social security? Social Security cards do not expire. Your proof of legal status is the expired greencard with the extension letter. You will not get anything else from USCIS unless you make it past the extended expiration date(18 months) or you get your new 10 year greencard.

All you need as proof of legal residence is expired green card and the extention letter..you will not receive any additional passport stamps, nor will u receive new green card..i think.Infopass is useless waste of your time. Don't worry about it.you have what u need to be official.

Wondering if anyone has travelled outside the county with the extension letter and had any issues when reentering the USA?

Also did anyone have to go in person to update the information with Social Security in order to continue working?
