Hello everyone!

First of all i wish everyone best of luck with this process. My application was received on Oct 27. I have a couple of questions:

1: I sent in 2 personal cheques for the fee, 595$ and 85$. Many people send just one cheque but I sent 2. Would that be ok?

2. I did not write N/A on the empty fields, just left them blank. I did nt think it was that big of an issue. Does anyone think this can be an issue?

i will appreciate your responses. Thank you

Also is the filing date considered the date they receive our application?

The check might not be a big problem but not putting N/A on the empty field that needed an answer, they could possibly send your packet back to you(see uscis I-751 instructions regarding empty fields)

And, base on my experience the filling date is not the date they received my packet. My packet arrived at phoenix arizona October 15 but the case received is October 28

I also sent in my I-751 without N/A on the empty fields. Mine arrived 10/27, I will update if the approve it.

Thank you for the response. I understand what you are saying. Now when I look at my form, the only space that I left blank is the use of alternative names and children 3,4,5 (I have 2 children). It ll be so disappointing if they can not make sense from the fact that leaving blank means it does nt apply to me.

Thank you, same here, will update as well. From what I remember, I also did not fill N/A in empty fields for my i485, never had a problem.

I did not put N/A in all empty field either; simply left them blank. My application was accepted and I already received an NOA. Don't worry too much and just wait.

Hey all! Glad to see familiar faces here from the K1 visa process.

We received notice that our packet was received on 10/20, BUT I think I messed up. For some dumb reason I left the Alien box blank. They do have the copy of our green card so they can't say they don't know his A number. What do you think they may do? It's bother me especially because we haven't received the NOA yet.

I don't think that's a big deal, they will put pieces together and pull up your information in the system and they probably would have reject it if it were a big deal which means you wouldn't even receive the notice that they received your package. I wish you good luck

Thank you for your feedback! I also think it shouldn't be a big deal since the information is there.

Q for those who called USCIS: how do you get to a real person? I called 1-800-375-5283 but the system keeps pushing me from one recorded message to another. I’m attempting to ask about my K2 daughter’s extension letter which hasn’t arrived, “verification of inclusion of a dependent in filing form I-751”, and cannot even get a rep on the phone. So frustrating 😟. TIA.

I got to a real person by saying "no receipt" then saying service center.
