Finally received the text with receipt number today.  Delivered to Arizona on October 4th.  I sent a check but it hasn't been cashed yet.  Is it normal to receive the text without the check being cashed first?

that happened to me, watch your bank account, sometimes banks are slow.

Yep thats exactly what happened.  I'm on the west coast and the check started processing at 2 am.  Guess thats the time when the banks open on the east coast where my banks hq is.  Now the wait officially starts for me and my wife!

I don't see why it would make a difference. There is no signature seal or security features, simply a printed piece of paper as far as I am aware. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I would assume they can verify it on their computer system.

hey yall,

we are almost ready to send the package and we are filling the form now but we have some questions. we asked some of these questions earlier last month but we got mixed answers and we feel since we are all freshly applying,that we can help each others.

 for part 1: 1.c/ 2.a/2.b/2.c/3.a/3.b/3.c/13/

       part 5:info about children.

       part 9: info about interpreter

       page 11: additional in fo

do we put N/A on all these parts since it doesn't apply or leave blank. if you want to advise us, please make sure to tell us which exact part you put N/A, and which exact part you left blank or put NONE.

now another question:

Part 7: the paragraph that starts with: I ____________ understand the purpose of ….

             do we sign there or write our name only?

 

last question:

in part 10, do we put the info of the green card holder since he was the preparer, or leave it blank, or put N/A.

What I have learned whilst travelling is that the USCIS immigration system does not seem to be connected to officers at the PoE.  It is dependent on the traveller to have the correct information and documentation.  You'd think they'd be able to scan your green card or your letter or your passport and it would bring up your current status - but it doesn't.  The last time I went through passport control I was waiting for about 90 minutes before I was let through as I had additional paperwork given to me at an infopass appointment because my EAD/greencard had not come through in time.  Border control seemed to have no idea that USCIS processes were taking so long and were curious as to why I didn't just have the 'right' paperwork.  (The documents I had were perfectly valid - but US Border Control at Dublin airport was not familiar with them.)

 

On other occasions they did not know about pending visas for a co-traveller. 

 

I try to have the original letter and I carry copies in different bags and pockets in case it gets lost or stolen.

In part 5. I put N/A,part 9&11 I leave it blank.

 

I'm not sure about part 10, maybe someone else can help you with it.

You're welcome... it's not that important because I leave that space blank as well, the uscis account is only if u create an account on their website then they will provide you an account number
