Arrived to them on the 6th, check still not cashed. We leave for 2 months in Australia in 2 weeks and I'm getting nervous. Tried to book an infopass to get an I551 and they haven't even called me back to give me a date.

Your return date is before your GC expiration I hope?

Yes, GC expires Jan 2, 2021, return flight is booked Dec 30, 2020. Sad about it though, since Aus has such strict quarantine requirements we would have liked to spend an extra week or two there with our family over new years.

Does anyone know if a copy of the NOA is accepted in addition to the expired GC, or does it need to be the original? Just wondering if it arrives whilst we're away and we get a copy printed?

I wouldn't leave the usa without that extension letter in hand first..too many stories here about lost or missing letters that never arrive.

Yes, to get back into the USA if we extended our trip a little longer. I wouldn't want to risk it so figured I'd ask here. USCIS received our I751 app on the 6th and nothing yet! :(

We postponed our trip to the Philippines all together untill after we have the appropriate paperwork.. to big of a risk..rather wait an extra month or  3 than risk an unforseen complication upon return..we have a friend that was returned to the php. @ the Miami airport last year..a simple typo caused them  send her back . Took almost 4 months for proper paperwork thru USCIS . Expired green card is nothing to take for granted. Her extention Letter had an extra O in her name...took forever to get a small problem corrected administratively

Yesterday night I posted here saying that I was frustrated and worried because I still haven't heard anything from USCIS after I mailed out my package over 20 days ago. Today during the daytime when I was at work, I received the text message from USCIS! It is said that they received my I-751 package on October 6 (in fact my package was delivered on October 3rd). My receipt begins with SRC. Hope I will have good luck for the following process!
