Interview wait times at San Jose FO after ready to schedule

We applied for I-485 adjustment of status in June 2019, and got an update ready to schedule for interview on January 28, 2020. However, we are still waiting to hear any update after that, and am wondering how long it might take before our interview is scheduled. It has been 8 months already.

Any others with similar experience? Were you able to do anything to get your interview scheduled, after the ready to be scheduled stage? Does it help to get a lawyer's help in this case?

My timeline so far, no RFEs:

Filed I-130: January 2019

Filed I-485, I-765, affidavit of support, medicals: June 2019

I130 Case transferred to NBC: September 2019

Ready to schedule for interview: January 2020

Got EAD/AP combo card: February 2020
