My now wife from Venezuela has her two children here in USA. We only filed her I-130 months ago. Ready to file all other forms. Question is how many 944

and 864 forms do we need to file because her children are 14 and under of age.  And why does this have to be so confusing? Any how we now have her children's I-130's ready and all I-485's ready.

Just need to know about the public charge forms. How many? one of each for each?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Every immigrant needs to file their own 944.

864 is kinda of a mystery right now. Usually you only need one, and you add the kids as derivative being sponsored by the same affidavit. But some people got rejections for not sending a separate 864 for the kids.

Yes everyone needs their own forms.  Don't forget about the kids i-765 either and check that you want them issued social security cards. You need the ssn's for deductions on your taxes.  I filed in June for my wife and her two kids. If you don't include a required form you will get a rejection.

My wife came to the US on an F1 visa about 10 years ago.

Also don't forget the signatures on the forms. The mom can sign for a younger one but if they are old enough they can sign themselves.  You should be also signing the part where it says someone filled out forms for them.
