There's no guarantee anyone's vote counts who doesn't vote in a timely fashion, it's the voter's responsibility. The government ain't your mama.

Is your ballot in?

Mine is!

Super easy -- I wanted to drop off my ballot in person at an early voting center, but they didn't open until last Saturday (when I was busy getting married). So on Monday morning I drove to my nearest center, parked the car and was escorted inside the center. I dropped the ballot in a box and was given a sticker ("I really vote just for the sticker!" which I say every time, because it's one of my dad's daddiest dad jokes) and thanked profusely. There were about four people inside voting in the booths. There was zero line to get in and everyone wore masks and socially distanced. There was hand sanitizer everywhere and the doors and windows in the center were wide open. I got confirmation last night my ballot will be counted.

Probably one of my best voting experiences ever, even with the mask. :)

I miss the sticker!

So what you are saying is you let your wedding day interfere with your responsibility to vote?

The Trump adminstration sabotages the mail system, Republicans sue to suppress legitimate votes. Voters Don't apply postmarks.

Lesson: get your ballot to a drop box, you cannot trust a mailed in vote to count at this late date.

Sorry members of the military, no guarantee your vote counts.

Meanwhile MAGA partisans are making Robo calls to fraudulently intimidate people of color from voting, and that gets ignored.

Sabotages the mail system?  Suppress the vote?  Do you have anymore Democrat talking points?  According to the ads for my current Senator, he singlehandedly saved the mail system, but for some reason it didn't cover how they would stop losing money.  As to me, we will vote on election deadline day as we prefer to stay away from the potential for fraud.

Facing Gap in Pennsylvania, Trump Camp Tries to Make Voting Harder

Trailing in the polls, President Trump and his campaign are pursuing a three-pronged strategy that would effectively suppress the mail-in vote in the critical state of Pennsylvania.

Not planning on reading something from the tabloid you posted, but all the voting laws that are formed by various state legislatures and signed by the various governors should not be changed by fiat.  Why don't they simply say we can vote right up until December 14th?

Federal appeals court forces Minnesota to set aside all late-arriving absentee ballots

Quote

The Eighth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals has ruled that absentee ballots in Minnesota must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day in order to be counted.

Quote

"However well-intentioned and appropriate from a policy perspective in the context of a pandemic during a presidential election, it is not the province of a state executive official to re-write the state’s election code, at least as it pertains to selection of presidential electors," read the order.

Pennsylvania County Official: Thousands of Requested Mail-In Ballots May Be Lost

Heavy Trump county, would be a bad place to lose any decent amount of votes.

Hopefully those 40,000 people are going online or calling and verifying their ballot has been received by the polling officials.  I know I did.

Yep, I called the county clerk recorder's office to check status and they received. Even if they can actually call it, I ain't giving the state/county government my cell #. In places like that, I'd be calling like every day.
