My husband and I filed for his AOS on Sept 10, 2020. The documents were received by the Lockbox in Chicago on September 12, 2020 (Saturday). We have not received any sort of notification as of yet. Is there is a delay in notifications? I have received we should have received a notification with 10 business days. Any type of help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! 😊

The normal recommendation is to give them 30 days to either accept or reject the petition. Now it might be even a little bit longer than that before you hear anything.

was your check/credit card encashed ? if yes than nothing to worry as they can take up to 30 days to send receipt

if your check/card was not encashed than your application has gone to secondary review due to failing to pass primary lockbox check. this can take up to 60 days before they send receipt or reject during secondary review

duh

I currently work for a bank and the only way to check if cashier's checks have been cashed is to go to your bank. At the time of getting the check, you should have been given a receipt with the check number(s). You will need to take the number(s) to the bank and they will be able to look them up in the system. Hope this helps! 😊
