Rapid Covid-19 (PCR test) in Chicago, Illinois

Hi VJ members,

I'm going to travel soon to meet my wife and the country that I'm going (Iran) requires a negative PCR test within 96 hours of my arrival. I'm surprised that in the US, it became very difficult to find a testing center that could give you the results within 48-72 hours. The reason I'm asking 48 hours is because I am on the way 1.5 day and cannot do the test in 4 days .

I called a few centers around me and in Chicago that I found online, they were not sure exactly or they said 2-4 or some said 3-5 business days. I cannot risk and go to the airport without test or a too early done test.

Anybody knows where I should go or call? We must have a rapid test center that can get the results in 24-48 hours.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

It might be difficult as it's the number of test they process also which dictates how long the results take to get back. We have quiet a few clinics that had the rapid test and they were able to get results out fast at first. Now it is taking longer almost a week sometimes to get the results because of how many test they are doing.
