I petitioned for all my stepchildren (4 kids all under 21) in February. I submitted my petitions online.  The two boys have already been approved by NVC and I'm awaiting for the interview appointment in DR.  For the boys, one petition was sent to Texas and other to CA.  The girls petitions are both in Vermont and the processing times for this center is so long.

I thought since I submitted all the petitions on the same day it would all be processed at the same center.  Does anybody know if it's possible to the girl's petition transferred to another center?

It's confusing to see the processing times differ from center to center.  Texas and California processing is so much shorter than Vermont.  I was really surprised that the boys paperwork was approved so quickly and yet see no movements on the girls petitions.

Each petition is evaluated separately.  Unfortunately, you cannot request to transfer to a different service center.  Luck of the draw.

Did you get your interview date? Is your interview in Santo Domingo? I’m trying to find out how and for when they are scheduling since all I hace read is that the consulate in DR is closed.

My husband's interview was in Auckland.

Best source of current information on IV interviews for specific consulates is on the website for the consulate.

According to the initial post...  "I'm awaiting for the interview appointment ...."

YMMV

No, I have not received a date yet.  Not sure if the consulate is closed, I heard that they are working but I could be wrong.  Since things change day by day due to COVID.

Just went to the DR Consulate website and saw this, so yes they are closed.

The Consular Section in the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo and the Visa Application Center (VAC) are processing nonimmigrant visa applications eligible for interview waiver cases only. The VAC and the Embassy are still closed for all routine cases that require interviews. To determine your eligibility for an interview waiver nonimmigrant visa and schedule an appointment please see: www.ustraveldocs.com/do

This relates to nonimmigrant visas and may not reflect what is currently happening with immigrant visas

YMMV

Yes, I see. Wondering if it also applies for immigrant visas.

Yes, on the visas page of the website it says:

The United States Embassy in Santo Domingo remains unable to resume routine immigrant and nonimmigrant visa services at this time.  We remain closed for all routine visa services
