Our cousin had similar issue- however it was biometrics for AOS was cancelled in March and they haven't been rescheduled yet. Maybe you will get lucky and they will waive the interview. Fingers crossed.

We were supposed to have ours scheduled and it never was originally. We have called up several times and about 3 months ago they said "Your interview should be scheduled shortly after we re-open". Unfortunately I think a lot of times they just tell you what you want to hear to move onto the next person.

If you're talking about the ready to schedule update then that is only a little step on your way to actually getting a interview scheduled. Depending on your field office it can take many months up to over a year to get there.

My issue is that people in my same field office (Washington DC) that reaches that step after me, are already scheduled for interviews. Yet when I call, they say everything is done chronologically, which just isn’t true. It’s either the people at USCIS don’t know what they are talking about or the people here lie, and I have a hard time believing anyone on this website Has any incentives to tell a false story.

I just noticed the same about my office. Someone who got ready for interview after me but applied four months before me just got scheduled. So it kinda still is done chronologically, just not how I would expect it

Based on the Oct filing thread and the Washington field office thread, these are people that filed after me AND got to the ready for interview step after me. There is no chronology there in any way, shape, or form.
