I’m super confused about how the fingerprinting and police check/criminal record check work.

i was directed to the commisionaires as the place to get them done, they offer ink and roll or digital. They also don’t say whether it’s under the privacy act or anything like that. Do I just say it in person? Does anyone have experience with this in the lower mainland of BC?

thanks.

You need to request fingerprints under the Privacy Act.
